Felipe Machado released this Wednesday, the 4th, the music video for "Medo do Novo," the first single from his new solo project, Primata , which will be released in September.
The video, which you can watch below, shows the founder and guitarist of VIPER playing his Fender Stratocaster in the entrance hall of Colégio Sion, in São Paulo, a building designed by the legendary architect Ramos de Azevedo in 1901 and listed as a historical landmark by Condephaat.
The video also features scenes of historical figures who revolutionized the world by not being "afraid of the new," as the lyrics say. "Since the lyrics talk about time, I looked for a location that was classic and, simultaneously, had a timeless style. When I saw that entire marble floor, I remembered the final scene of 2001: A Space Odyssey , by Stanley Kubrick . I knew then that I had found the perfect place," says Machado.
Primata follows FMSolo , the musician's first solo album, released in 2015. The songs were subsequently remixed on the album FMX: FMSolo Remixes in 2020. Now, in "Medo no Novo," Machado returns to work with producer Val Santos and with the help of Leandro Caçoilo , vocalist of VIPER, on backing vocals.
